Search begins for Director of the Year
Business leaders are being invited to enter the prestigious 2011 London and South East Director of the Year awards run by the Institute of Directors (IoD)
Open to members and non-members of the IoD, the awards will be welcoming entries from business leaders from the whole of London and the south east of England. The awards bring together company directors from a variety of backgrounds and recognise their qualities as business leaders.
Last year’s awards attracted a record number of entries and culminated in the sell-out Gala Awards Dinner at the Landmark Hotel in London at which the finalists’ achievements were publicly celebrated.
John Minards, south east regional leader of PwC, major sponsors of the competition, said difficult economic times made it all the more relevant to reward success.
He said: “Over the past 12 months, directors have faced some of the most challenging economic conditions in living memory. Never has it been more important to recognise and celebrate business leaders who continue to manage through the downturn and ensure business emerges fit for the future.“
