Lynda R. Taylor is a teacher in the Allen Independent School District and this is her first book. The book is about a love that only a mother can share with her children. In this story it is about the love between a mother and daughter. The young mother is expecting to have a baby. The daughter begins to doubt that her mother will not love her as much anymore with all her love and attention she will give the newborn. The daughter asks questions to find out that her mother loves her and nothing can ever change that . . . even a new sibling. The illustrations are colorful and capture the love and warmth between the mother and the daughter. What I love best, though, are Lynda’s lessons that help us use this book as a teaching school at home or in the classroom. This is an emergent reader and would be a great feel good book for learning to read. The simple language, repetition and story line will make it easy to grasp and help build your new reader’s confidence. A must read! You can order a copy here:
