Where and when did you get the idea for your business? I was studying midwifery and saw a need for an improvement method of attaching fetal monitoring sensors. The wrap-round belts were awkward to use and the women complained of discomfort. I specifically remember one midwife saying to me “there’s got to be a better way than this”. That’s when I started thinking about a solution.
What has been the biggest obstacle you have faced in starting up your business? When I started I had no business experience and have had to spend many hours educating myself. Money was of course also an obstacle, especially when it comes patent/patent attorney fees and prototyping.
What do you like the most about being an entrepreneur? I like the freedom and being able to build something from nothing. For me, this has been one great adventure.
