EDITOR’S LETTER Letter from the Editor

The influence of traditional networks is evolving. Simply having a little black book of contacts, acquaintances and influencers from your industry is no longer sufficient in a world where everyone with a LinkedIn account has equal opportunities to connect.

Today, network value is the new metric and the result is that the winners in this era will increasingly be those companies who are organising their business models for the transactions in their ecosystem.

In this months issue of Entrepreneur Country magazine we meet entrepreneurs who have become enablers and who grasp the importance of ecosystem economics. These enablers have sought out their natural allies and make it in everyone’s interest for them to win together. Global entrepreneurs including Julie Meyer, Francois Barrault and Chris Barez-Brown share their insights, journey’s and stories of succeeding over near death experiences.

This is also an opportunity to invite you all to join our Entrepreneur Country community. On the 27th September I will be hosting the Entrepreneur Country Accelerate Forum. Our twice-annual Forums are showpiece events for Britain’s entrepreneurial talent and inspirational business leaders including Julie Meyer, James Caan, Tim Levene and Austin Healey will be sharing their insights throughout the day.

I look forward to welcoming you all to Entrepreneur Country. Michael Tinmouth
