Relay for Life Event Gt Harwood Showground The Ribble Valley and White Rose Ladies are holding the Cancer Research UK event Relay for Life, a 24-hour event on 9th July 2011 Why not enter a team and make a difference? The relay for life event will take their overall total ever closer to the £1m mark. WOW. TWO DIFFERENT DOCTORS' OFFICES Two patients limp into two different medical clinics with the same complaint. Both have trouble walking and appear to require a hip replacement. The FIRST patient is examined within the hour, is x-rayed the same day and a time booked for surgery the following week. The SECOND sees his family doctor after waiting 3 weeks for an appointment, then waits 8 weeks to see a specialist, then gets an x-ray, which isn't reviewed for another week and finally has his surgery scheduled for 6 months from then. Why the different treatment for the two patients? The FIRST is a Golden Retriever. The SECOND is a Senior Citizen. Next time take me to a vet!


In The Gym. An older man, not in the best physical condition, asked the Trainer in the gym, "I want to impress that beautiful girl. Which machine should I use?" The trainer replied, " I think your best bet would be the cash machine on the wall outside!"
