Game, set and match to Kings Hill
KINGS Hill Tennis Academy iswell on its way to producing stars of the future following a hugely successful first year. The club, which is
based at the David Lloyd Centre in Kings Hill Avenue, provides coaching for nearly 350 children between the ages of four and 16. In the last year the
club won the West Kent Division Boys 14s winter season competition, the Girls 14s and the Boys 16s. The success has coin- cided with the highest increase in the num- ber of children playing 20 or more matches of any club in Kent, helping it win the Kent Lawn Tennis Association’s award for the biggest increase in the number of regularly competing juniors.
“It has been the
most fabulous start for the club,”
said In addition, eight of the under 10s have
been invited to attend regional talent ses- sions. The club is sponsored by Kings Hill de- veloper Liberty Property Trust and is run by Shane Theobald and Lee Friend.
