Windsor Forest Rd • Mt. Airy, MD

Curious about foxhunting, but don’t know if either you or your horse have what it takes to follow the hounds? Then this clinic is for you! You and your horse will learn:

What is a hunting pace? • Is your horse capable of the most important gait in the hunt  eld - the halt? • Are you and your horse comfortable gal- loping with a group of horses? • How is your horse around hounds? Plus, hunt attire and appropriate  eld etiquette.

Participants are expected to be mounted by 8:30 a.m. A traditional hunt breakfast will follow the  eld work, so be sure to bring water and hay for your horses. Breakfast will feature videos and a question & answer period.

• $25 for mounted participants: includes traditional hunt breakfast. All mounted participants will receive one free cap (i.e. day of foxhunting) with HCIBH for Septem- ber 2011. Don’t have a horse, but want to foxhunt? No problem! To lease a “made” foxhunter for the day, please contact Pleasant Prospect Farm at 443-375-6448 • Unmounted participants: $10 auditing fee, includes traditional hunt breakfast.

Space is limited, reservations are required.

This clinic is recommended for riders who have not hunted before, or

have hunted a few times and would like a refresher course. All participants should be able to walk, trot, and canter in an open  eld. Safety helmet required. This clinic is not intended for established foxhunters.
