Energy Healing & the Chakras I

by GP Walsh

am sure that everyone reading this article has heard of the Chakras, those centers of energy in the body that are beautiful vortexes of light. They are that and much more, and because they are energy centers, they respond quickly and beautifully to energy healing techniques. But did you know that they were also storage places for life

information? That’s right, each of the Chakras corresponds to a part of your conscious experience. The 1st Chakra, for example, is the place that stores all the laws and codes of behavior of your family of origin, what I like to call “your tribe”. So let’s say your family had a strong work ethic, that tribal vow might sound like this: “We always work hard for what we get” or “Things don’t come easily, you have to work hard for them,” or a favorite in many tribes, “Money doesn’t grow on trees.” We are literally born into these beliefs, those ener- getic patterns. We “inherit” them just like we inherit our height and hair color. Unless that law is recognized and healed you WILL work hard for what you get all your life. You too made that vow and you will obey it even when logically it doesn’t make any sense. Look at your life. Do you always find yourself working hard?

Did your family always work hard? Guess what? You have a 1st Chakra vow. Now there is nothing wrong with working hard, but if you HAVE to work hard you are not free to choose. And imagine how a deep unconscious vow like that would interfere with any law of attraction or manifestation work you do. So, let’s heal that. Remember, the Chakras are active energy centers that store information. They are very flexible and responsive to healing. They are always willing to be reprogrammed. To do that, I use the Emotional Freedom Technique or EFT for short. EFT uses a small set of acupuncture points but instead of sticking in a needle (not a real do-it-yourself-solution), you simply tap on those points. The tapping stimulates the meridian system and as a result provides fresh energy to the Chakras to allow them to clear themselves of unneeded wounds and vows. In this article I am only going to use one EFT point. Visit http://gpwalsh.com/chakras.html for a full example on this same issue. EFT works best on actual feelings you are having in the mo- ment, not memories of what you felt like yesterday, so step 1 is to get in touch with the feeling of the vow. This is easier than you think. Just say to yourself, “I deserve to make a lot of money and work very little.” Feel a reaction? That is your unconscious vow speaking. It may even be a little voice that says, “That’s not really possible.” Now tap lightly on the side of your hand, the soft part under

your pinkie where a karate guy would do a karate chop. Just say this to yourself while you’re tapping: “Even though I don’t deserve to make a lot of money and work

very little, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway.” “Even though I believe it is not possible or even moral to earn

a lot without working hard, I deeply and completely love and ac- cept myself and all my feelings anyway.” “Even though my family has always worked hard for their money and doesn’t trust it when things come easy, and I honor my family, I deeply and completely love and accept myself anyway and give myself permission to let go of this vow.” Now say to yourself again, “I deserve to make a lot of money

and work very little.” Notice the difference? It will either not seem so true or a different objection will surface. In either case the energy shift will be obvious. And don’t be surprised if something shows up in your life effortlessly. You have unblocked the manifestation chan- nel at the lowest level. Now here is what actually happened. You spoke your truth, clearly and unambiguously. You gave yourself love and acceptance (a.k.a. forgiveness). You gave the energy system permission to heal. By tapping, you gave it fresh energy to work with. The system itself did the rest. The energy system, including the Chakras, is so intel- ligent that given permission and a little help it knows exactly what to do and does it. It heals itself. Chakras have the ability to record and store wounds, traumas and

unspoken vows: 1st – Tribal vows, laws and “truths” of your family of origin in- cluding ethics, class, religion, nationality and cultural beliefs

2nd – Vows around getting your needs met, worthiness and deserving, including personal power, sex and money

3rd – Vows about who I am, who I must be and who I cannot be 4th – The Heart Chakra governs all of our relationships, how we view and interact with others including what we can expect, making boundaries and allowing intimacy and altruism

5th – This Chakra is our voice in the world. It possesses the amaz- ing power to create ourselves in the minds of others. It always speaks the truth or falsity of our other Chakras, literally voicing all the unhealed wounds and vows of the other Chakras

6th – This is the mind in the best sense of the word: insight, vision, revelation, seeing the big picture, seeing our value, other’s value, creativity and innovation

7th – Our connection to the divine, the whole, that formless place from which everything comes. Now here is the most important thing to get from this article:

If the Chakras are not clear all the way down to the root, the energy of the 7th Chakra cannot manifest. Concrete, physical manifestation is a 1st Chakra function. This explains why many people who are deeply connected to source, have a clear vision, speak their truth and love deeply still have a hard time manifesting what they want. The lower Chakras are blocked and so the manifestation gets stalled. If you have enjoyed this brief introduction to energy healing as a potent means of clearing your Chakras, learn more at the upcom- ing workshop on Sat., July 23 at My Energy Place, Ft Lauderdale, for exploration of all the Chakras and how to heal them using EFT.
