Walkers in 2009 Hampstead Heath to

host Generations Walk All generations of men, women and children are encouraged to wear their pinkest outfits on Sunday 12 June and walk 5k across Hampstead Heath, London at the 13th Generations Walk. Event organiser, Cheryl Stakol, said: “I’m thrilled that we have so many fantastic supporters who come along to the walk and help Campaign continue funding vital research. Having had breast cancer, I know how much this disease affects women and their loved ones, so it’s important we keep working together to help find a cure.” All funds raised will help support a project

by Dr Jeremy Blaydes at the University of Southampton, who is currently investigating why chemotherapy stops working for 40 per cent of patients. His research could ultimately improve the chances of survival for many more people with breast cancer. The walk starts at 11am and is £10 for

adults, £5 for under 12s. Each participant receives a Generations Walk t-shirt, medal and free picnic lunch at Kenwood House.

National Charity Partner for Swim for All 2011. At Campaign we encourage people to lead a healthy lifestyle and regular exercise, such as swimming, can help reduce the risk of breast cancer. We hope lots of people across Yorkshire will sign up for this fun event and the money raised will help us continue funding innovative, world-class breast cancer research.” The 500m swim is open to over 12s and the 1500m is for over 18s. Registration is £25 and all swimmers must pledge to raise a minimum sponsorship of £150.
