Our supporters having fun while raising funds
1. A total of 33 players took part in the Surbiton heat of the Charity One Ball Croquet Championship. The day raised £202 for Campaign and best outfit went to Dr Chris Farthing (pictured). More events will be held throughout the year with the hope of reaching £1,500.
2. Nicola Szandurski and Jo Douglas from Wigton held a ‘Socks & Frocks’ Ladies’ Night. Entertainment included a raffle, music by The Two-ers and a disco. The evening raised over £1,200. Pictured is party guest ‘Olive’ aka Owen Browbank.
3. Pupils from Watlington School of Dance in King’s Lynn took part in a sponsored tapathon. The 50 pupils tapped for four and a half hours and their efforts raised the fantastic total of £3,005.
4. Suzanne Cochrane from Blyth organised a big zumba party. Over 100 people took part in
the dance fitness event, which raised an amazing £2,737.
5. A group of Year 11 pupils at St Aidan’s college in Preesall decided to sell cakes and treats as part of their Business Enterprise Unit project. The treats proved very popular with other students and they managed to raise £83 for Campaign.
6. Mandy Pollard from Gwent, Wales, raised £200 by holding a make-up evening at a local department store. This was Mandy’s first fundraiser for Campaign this year – she will also be holding a car boot sale in the summer and hosting a big party in October.
7. Southampton’s Martin Burnett and Samantha Lawrence braved the freezing temperatures of the Solent and went for a swim on New Year’s Day to raise over £1,300 for Campaign.
