Wall-to-wall thrills on Campaign Challenge

In April, 24 intrepid trekkers took on the Great Wall of China and won! Dawn Grover, Supporter Care Manager at the charity, and a group of supporters spent five days trekking more than 60km and climbing countless amounts of stairs

to raise over £68,000. The group explored the ancient Badaling section, which has been left in its natural state, before seeing the breathtaking views from the magnificently rebuilt Mutianju stretch of the wall.

Dawn said: “It really was a trip of a lifetime. I saw a whole range of amazing sights in China and made some fabulous friends along the way. Although it was tough at times, we all stuck together and have returned with some unforgettable memories. I’m thrilled we raised so much money for Breast Cancer Campaign and would like to thank everyone who sponsored me. I’d definitely recommend the challenge as it really was a fantastic experience.” Campaign has arranged another exclusive

trek along the Great Wall from 1 to 9 April 2012 and we’d love you to join us. To register for this challenge, supporters are required to pay a deposit to Charity Challenge and either pay the cost of the trek themselves or raise a minimum sponsorship of £3,075.

Peaks challenge will help you reach new heights

participants attempt to climb the three highest peaks, Ben Nevis, Snowdon and Scafell Pike, in just 24 hours. Campaign works with the UK's leading outdoor fitness provider, British Military Fitness, to offer our supporters the chance to take on this all-inclusive event. It’s described as a must-do challenge for anyone seeking a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will push them to the limit. But what an amazing sense of achievement when you come down that final mountain!

T

he Three Peaks Challenge is renowned for being one of the toughest treks in the UK, as

“It was a hard weekend, but I loved every bit of it. All leaders were a tower of strength for the participants – we couldn’t have done it without them!” said Dawn Roberts, who completed the challenge in July 2010. You can join Campaign’s Three Peaks Challenge team on 2-5 September 2011. To take part you will need to pay a £175 registration fee and pledge to raise a minimum of £680 in sponsorship.
