Newton Ferrers lies within the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. If you’re looking for peace, serenity and a leisurely day on or off the water, the charming Newton Creek is a narrow tidal inlet on the River Yealm and perfect for exploring the area. The Warren is a very beautiful stretch of coastline nearby, and circular walking routes take you along the sea and through ancient woodlands.
A real hidden gem for you to discover is the nearby unspoilt Mothecombe beach. Large, sheltered and ideal for bathing, Mothecombe is a private beach but is open to the public on Wednesdays and at weekends. The rock pools are a favourite with children looking for critters and creepy crawlies.
