Leeds Council Rush-hour traffic


A RESIDENT raised concerns about the speed and volume of traffic in the village, particularly in Upper Street and between 7.30am and 9am. Another resident, living near


the Ten Bells public house, backed these concerns and sug- gested that removal of the Except for Access signsmay ease the sit- uation. He spoke about the dam- age to the infrastructure caused by 42-tonne lorries. suspected. A Renault Kangoo van is thought to have been in- volved. An X-reg numberplate was removed from a silver Ford Es- cort in YewTree Close, Boxley. An iPod was stolen from a


green Mazda parked in the car park of SenacreWood surgery, ReculverWalk, Senacre. The catalytic converter was


stolen overnight from a hire platform elevator at British Telecom Exchange, Ham Lane, Lenham. An S-reg, red Mercedes Benz

entry to a garage in Church Lane, Harrietsham. Computer equipment was


stolen from a property in Monkdown, Downwood,while the residents were gardening. Entry was gained through the front door. Awallet containing cheques/


cards and documents was stolen from an insecure van parked on the driveway of a residential property in The Street, Doddington.

nic site had been completed and the parish council would take over the site when the legal doc- uments had been completed. A councillor asked that a letter


of thanks be sent to the Lenham EnhancementAssociation for the hard work and flower planting which brighten up the parish.

break into a property in Fau- chons Lane, Bearsted. The front grille of a car parked in Culpepper Close, Hollingbourne, was stolen. Two charity bags left out for Cancer Research UK were taken from the front of a house in Birling Avenue, Bearsted. A ride-on mower was stolen


from a shed in the rear garden of a property in Caring Lane, Leeds, after the door was forced. The fuel cap was stolen from


a large trailer lorry parked at Fourhayes Farm, Bicknor. A blueMitsubishi V-reg lorry


was stolen from South Dean Farm, North Downs. The garage door of Holling- bourne Cricket Club, on Pil- grimsWay,was damaged when property was removed. The itemswere abandoned outside. A garage in a block in Robins


Close, Lenham was damaged, but no entry was gained.
