Please note we no longer accept garden waste, very large bulky items and electrical or hazardous items.
You can dispose of these items through our paid for bulky collection service or at the household waste recycling centre at Burial Ground Lane, Tovil, Maidstone. Hotfoot is good – official!
Hotfoot’s Bower Grove play scheme has received a ‘good’ rating from Ofsted inspectors for the second time. Particularly good features included - inclusion, the strong relationship between staff and children, children’s behaviour and safety, health and wellbeing including healthy eating, and active learning and enjoyment. This year’s summer play schemes will be:

Carriage Museum reopens for summer
The Carriage Museum is now open for the summer. The museum, in Mill Street, Maidstone, is open until Sunday, September 4 - Wednesday to Sunday from noon to 4pm and on bank holiday Monday, August 29. Entry to the museum is free.

Snap Club Nights
SNAP discos are a great night out for young people aged 11 to 17. They are staged in partnership with Kent Police and Crimestoppers as part of a 'say no to drugs' campaign. At SNAP dance nights, security is a top priority, so you and all your friends can listen to live music and meet new people in a very safe environment. Maidstone Leisure Centre, 7pm – 11pm, June 24 and September 23. Tickets are £5 and can be bought on the night.
