ALLIANZ MUSICAL INSURANCE PROVIDING A PLATFORM FOR THE NEXT GENERATION

At Allianz Musical Insurance we are avid supporters of musicians and believe it’s important to give upcoming acts an avenue to get the recognition they deserve.

As the largest musical insurer in the UK, our role is to make sure you’re onstage to do what you do best. But we’re not just about protecting your instruments if they are lost, stolen or broken; we’re also devoted to developing the UK’s musicians of the future.

We work closely with a number of musical organisations, who focus on improving the range of opportunities available to young people interested in music. These organisations include Musicians’ Union, the International Guitar Foundation and the Music for Youth’s National Festival.

When it comes to insuring your instruments we are specialists – we understand the music industry and your specific needs. Our PowerPlay policy is specifically designed to cover all forms of ‘powered’ instruments, from electric guitars to synthesizers and digital production tools, as well as drum kits, making it the perfect cover for individual musicians, bands or DJs.

PYONGYANG

Recorded at home in Brooklyn, New York, Pyongyang’s four-track demo Godzilla, King Kong & Me is a scintillating bombardment of the senses. With tracks split between all out mortar-shaking ambient noise, a bit of vocal sampling and some electronica- twitching fuzzy post-punk, it’s hard not to remain entwined in its mass for the duration. Even the title track Godzilla, the most conventional of the four, is a

pulse-driven, holler in the darkness, savaged by a constant stream of incandescent melodic noise. Beautifully shattered music. Download from here: http://www.mediafire.com/?hbor73to3vks673

KID NORTH

As if to teach the pop kids a lesson or two, Kid North contains two members of previous Garagelanders Radius System, one of whom has also been in also ex-Garagelanders Templ▲te and Time To Burn. Those bands were a bit more complex, challenging and abstract. The Kid North EP demonstrates total blissful pop tunes. Coming on a bit Foals-lite, with choppy hi-hat and guitar action, the infectious grooves and melodic ideas are impossible to erase once you’ve heard them. These Parisians could easily have the indie world at their feet, if they really felt like it. http://kidnorth.bandcamp.com/
