The EcoNet is made from very strong but light weight PET being virtually escape proof, predator proof and has a 20-year lifespan compared to nylon nets that often only last 4-6 years.
Fouled net:
Water with oxygen passes outside the cage.
Clean net:
Water with oxygen is flowing through the cage.
It is proven that increased marine fouling leads to reduced water flow. As a result, the oxygen rich water will mostly flow around the cage.

Akvasmart Net Cleaners with 2 discs can easily be operated from the cage by a single person. Larger cleaners can be operated using a crane, winch, cap stand or as an integrated option on a ROV.
The latest Polarcirkel Bird Net support stands may be adapted to integrate Rotor Spreaders and come in circum- ferences from 30 to 70 metres and different heights and shapes.
