T he TenCate Aquagrid® Containment
System gives farmers a total aquaculture package. Designed to achieve maximum containment integrity and operational ef- ficiency, the system demonstrates long-term economic viability through cost reduction as soon as it is deployed. TenCate Aquagrid®
netting is the first net
developed specifically for farming and not for fishing; and so it offers superior performance over traditional netting. The specially formu- lated PVC-coated polyester fibres last at least twice as long, are twice as strong, require no antifoulant, and resist marine predators when deployed properly. They also improve fish health due to better oxygen delivery and flush- ing action, and hold their shape due to their semi-rigid nature, allowing for full grow-out space. Developed over a seven-year R&D pe- riod – in partnership with fish farmers in British Columbia, Canada – there are now more than 700 Aquagrid® Aquagrid®
