echnology has become the medium through which we define our lives. We “Google” driving directions, and see an interactive street view of our

exact destination. We do complex banking transactions in the amount of time it takes to “like” a friend’s Facebook photo. Just as the in- fluence of technology has radically expanded, so has the scope of vision HE&IT has applied to our annual list of the Most Influential Hispan- ics in Technology. We have searched for the movers and shakers, the inventors and innova- tors, the men and women who are using their skills and their savvy to improve our quality of life. They are the exemplars of their industries. Their work has given us not only new tools to use, but new ways of understanding our envi- ronments. Honoring them in our pages is the least that we can do to show our appreciation for the work that they do.
