usiness travel at Kelowna International Airport is really becoming BIG business these days.
In a recent survey, over 25 percent of the passengers travelling through YLW stated they did so for business only or for business and pleasure combined. With over 1.38 million people utilizing the airport in 2009 that translates to 350,000 doing so for business related reasons.
It’s also why Kelowna International Airport has gone to great lengths to improve its services to accommodate and satisfy the needs of the travelling business community.
YLW has designated an area of its departure lounge strictly for travellers requiring business related services. There are a trio of cubicles set up for privacy that each feature a desk and chair, phone that accepts credit cards and has plug-ins for computers. As of July1st of 2010, YLW partnered with BOLDstreet Wireless and is providing free WiFi internet access to all passengers, business or otherwise, throughout the entire terminal building, lounges and concession areas.
“Free wireless Internet access was one of the amenities most frequently requested by our passengers,” stated Sam Samaddar, Airport Director. “We’re happy to be able

to provide this much anticipated service at no extra cost to our passengers”.
