The Two Rivers Gallery is the only “Class A” gallery in north central BC, and is located within walking distance of all downtown locations. History buffs can explore the Exploration Place Museum or the Railway and Forestry Museum located just a short drive away.
Otway Nordic Ski Centre CN Centre
The city is home to a number of professional and amateur theatre groups. As well, live entertainment is featured at the CN Centre on a regular basis. Local coffee houses often feature local entertainers as well as those from away. Some upcoming events include: Oktoberfest 2010 at CN Centre, October 8th; Lets Ride Snowmobile Show at CN Centre, October 29-30; Festival of Trees at Civic Centre, November 19-28, and Northern Lights Festival at Connaught Hill and Downtown, November 27-January 2.

The City is located on the confluence of the Fraser and Nechako Rivers and you can walk the urban trails along their shores without leaving the confines of the City. Wildlife is abundant
here...bring your binoculars if you enjoy watching the birds, and keep an eye out for moose or bear on the more rugged walking trails.
As winter settles in residents and visitors alike celebrate the opportunity to participate in winter activities. Local winter festivals including light displays and entertainment are held from November
until February. If you are staying in town you can snowshoe through one of our many city parks, or grab your skates and enjoy one of our outdoor neighbourhood rinks. If you are more adventurous you can head to the Otway Nordic Ski Centre which is a world class cross country ski facility. You can head to the trails for snowshoeing, or head to one of the four ski hills located within easy distance of Prince George. It is hard to find a better winter setting for outdoor activities.
