entral Mountain Air Ltd. (CMA), established in 1987, is privately owned and employs over 300 people including administrative, maintenance, and flight personnel. CMA maintains bases in Vancouver, Prince George, Calgary, and their primary headquarters Smithers.


The airline offers a full range of air travel services to 17 communities throughout British Columbia and Alberta. With scheduled, cargo, and chartered flights, CMA provides valuable connections from larger centres to many smaller northern and coastal communities.


For YLW travellers, CMA has daily scheduled flights (except Saturdays) directly to and from Prince George operated with a Beech 1900D. With a cruising speed of 540 km/h this modern twin engine turbo prop aircraft takes you to BC’s Northern Capital in just an hour and 10 minutes.

Fleet


The Beech 1900 series was introduced in 1984 and has since become one of the world’s most popular regional aircraft. The 1900 series includes the 1900C and the newer 1900D. Central Mountain Air currently operates a fleet of fourteen Beech1900D, twin engine turboprop aircraft offering a comfortable, pressurized environment. The 18 seat aircraft provides a roomy cabin and washroom facilities.
