THE HIGH-ENERGY MAGAZINE FOR EVERYONE WHO RUNS, FREE FROM YOUR FAVOURITE RUNNING SHOP
For many of you out there the big day has finally arrived – months of training through the cold, the wet and the dark is done, and the pay-off is around the corner. But it’s not just about running, the Virgin London Marathon and many of the events leading up to it are about raising cash – about making a difference. And in this issue we celebrate those who are doing just that, our charity champions! There’s Noel Bresland running 26.2 miles on a treadmill in the London Eye,
and on page 22 eight readers tell us about the money they’ve raised from running. On page 44 Lucy Fry interviews ultra- runner Dean Karnazes who raises millions for children’s charities whilst running 50 miles a day. As always, the RF team have been out and about. We’ve taken part in two fantastic – and very different – events, the Vertical Rush, a run up Tower 42 in aid of Shelter, and the 30th Bath Half, a race that’s not only super-fast but raises £1.5 million for charity. I also loved trying out a yoga for runners workshop and we’ve got 10 poses for you to try on page 18. We’re at stand 559 at this year’s Expo – come and say hello.
