Ancient Egyptian Festival Chiddingstone Castle, Edenbridge May 29
Chiddingstone Castle will be celebrating its amazing Egyptian collection with a festival dedicated to this popular culture. Events will be held throughout the day to give visitors a fascinating insight into the mysteries of ancient Egypt, including mummification. Children can enjoy arts, crafts and face painting and everyone can watch interactive performances by the castle’s Egyptian Pharaoh. During the event, visitors can also explore the stunning 35 acres of grounds and gardens with a large lake and waterfall.

Time Travellers Go…Seafaring Down House, Downe, Nr Biggin Hill June 1 - 3
Anchors aweigh and set sail on an exciting nautical adventure to learn the ropes of seafaring, 1800s style. Prepare for naval battle, enjoy a host of hands-on activities and find out about life on the open seas in days gone by. All children are welcome to join in the Time Travellers Go… events. 11am-4pm.
Music in the Park Trosley Country Park, Vigo Village June 4

Taste the Best of Produced in Kent Biddenden Vineyards June 5
Biddenden Vineyards will be hosting its annual food day, ‘Taste the Best of Produced in Kent, which gives visitors the chance to meet the producers of a wide range of local products, as well as being able to taste and buy direct from them. With over 20 producers taking part, there will be food and drink to suit every taste, ranging from jams, chutneys and honeys, to beers, pies and cheese, as well as fish, olives, game, liqueurs and more. Admission is free, with donations being taken for the Kent Air Ambulance. The vineyard will be open as usual, offering tastings of award-winning wines, ciders and juices, or take a walk through the vineyards on a choice of routes.
Kite Festival Teston Bridge Country Park, Nr Maidstone June 11 – 12 Join in the fun of the summer kite
festival, 11am-4pm. Fly your own kite, watch the professionals at play or, for for £1, take part in a kite making workshop.
Theatre in the Park – Twelfth Night

CAMRA Real Ale & Cider Festival Kent & East Sussex Railway June 18
This popular event takes place between 11am and 10:30pm (or until the beer runs out!) and is organised by the Campaign for Real Ale. On the day, visitors can enjoy a large number of activities, from trying a diverse range of fine ale, cider and perry in the beer tent, or relaxing and
listening to an eclectic mix of live music from midday when the first of four bands take to the stage. This will all be complemented by a delicious selection of food from a BBQ or the station’s refreshment room.
Delphinium Week Godinton House and Gardens, Ashford June 19 - 26
A week of events to celebrate the spectacular collection of delphiniums in Godinton's Walled Garden, including an NGS open day and other activities, plus evening picnics.
Dog Show Teston Bridge Country Park, Nr Maidstone June 26
A fun dog show for the whole family. Bring your dog and have a go at agility or try your hand at winning a rosette in the classes ring. There will be lots to enjoy, including a demonstration ring, a gun dog display team and heel work to music. Trade and charity stands will be on site and refreshments will be available all day. Free event, 11am-4pm, £1 to enter your dog.
