Ubuntu Hair Studio Hosts Screening for Invisible Children

I

nvisible Children, a media-based nonprofit dedicated to ending Af-

rica’s longest-running war, will offer a free screening of the film, Tony, from 7 to 8:30 p.m., March 29, at La Colonia Community Center, in Solana Beach. Hosted by the staff at Ubuntu Hair Studio, the event is organized by Serena Jenichs, who will intro- duce the film, share her experience and open the floor to questions and answers following the viewing. Invisible Children is dedicated

to raising awareness about abducted children who are forced to fight as soldiers in the Lord’s Resistance Army (LRA), a rebel group currently terrorizing central East Africa. Tony was inspired by two young men who have suffered significant loss as a result of the conflict. The film features a personal look at the journey of the nonprofit during the last eight years, following the lives of Tony Bazilo, a young Ugandan man whose life was affected by the current war, and Nate Henn, an Invisible Children volunteer whose mission was cut short by his untimely death this past summer.
