Offering meals and accommodations, as well as a new meeting hall that seats up to 40 people, the center is available for public use as a classroom and for meetings and multi-day retreats. “This is the culmination of my dream of eight years,”

San Diego North County Senior Olympic Games


T


he San Diego North County Senior Olympic Games will be held in nine North County cities during the last two weeks of April and the first two weeks of May. Open to anyone 50 and older, the Games will feature approximately 20 sports, played at venues in Carls- bad, Encinitas, Oceanside, Vista, San Marcos, Escondido, Rancho Santa Fe and Poway. In addition to traditional sports, the Games feature competitions in ballroom dancing, pickleball, fitness activities, surfing, miniature golf and table tennis.


Athletes may participate in up to six sports, and then enter the San Diego Senior Olympic Games, held through- out the city at 26 different venues during September. Winners of the San Diego Games qualify for the California Games and will have the opportunity to progress to national competition.
