Highway Patrol said Wednesday (Nov. 10) they had not located the driver of the other vehicle and “believe the driver of the vehicle was a possible witness to the ac- cident” and that the other car was not involved in the incident. Staggs said he could not speak


as to whether Mayfield, 20, has any recollection of the accident. “I can’t really, at this point, get

statement, saying, “It was a one- vehicle accident, and the driver has been charged with misde- meanor death by vehicle.”
