Weaverville Elementary School took time out Tuesday (Nov. 9) to recognize veterans. Students sang patriotic songs, and there was a flag folding ceremony.


Fundraiser for orphanage project Te Carpenters Hearth in Barnardsville will be selling barbecue plates for $5 on Saturday (Nov. 13)


at Newbridge Baptist Church in Woodfin to raise money for an orphanage project in Honduras in November.
