Jarvis, age 97, of 18 Alexander Road, died Friday, Nov. 5, 2010. The Rev. Jarvis was born May

She lived in Madison County all of her life. She devoted her life to caring for her family and enjoying her friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harley Honeycutt. She was the daughter of the late Carmon and Esta Baldridge Phil- lips. She is also preceded by a brother, William Phillips. Surviving are her daughters, Di-
ane King (Ray) of Weaverville and Debra Smith (David) of Burnsville; a son, Chris Honeycutt (Saman- tha) of Mars Hill; sisters, Doris Honeycutt and Mafrey Honeycutt and brother Tom Phillips. She is also survived by nine grandchil- dren and 15 great-grandchildren. The funeral service was held
at 3 pm on Sunday, Nov. 7, 2010, at Terry’s Fork Freewill Baptist Church in Mars Hill. The Rev. Ran- dy Sprinkle, the Rev. Ronnie Rob- inson, the Rev. Jim Shoupe and the Rev. Clyde Metcalf, Jr. offici- ated. Burial followed in the Maney Cemetery. The family received friends prior to the service. The family would like to say
they appreciate all the people who made it possible for their mother to enjoy life at home as long as possible. Her longtime doctor and friend Dr. F.B. He was a member of Woodland Hills Church and the Vance Masonic Lodge #293 AF and AM. Fred enjoyed his fellowship with all those attending at the Weaverville meal site at First Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Sally Metcalf Jarvis; his wife, Elizabeth Hensley Jarvis who died in 1994; as well as five brothers and three sisters. Surviving are his daughters,
Joyce Tucker and husband Sam of Weaverville, Patsy Chiavaras and husband Chuck, Carolyn Hensley and husband Harlon, all of Asheville; sister-in-law, Madge Jarvis of Barnardsville; six grand- children, eleven great grandchil- dren and three great great grand- children.
