Woodfin Mayor Jerry VeHaun was a part of the groundbreaking ceremony on a new public safety training facility Tuesday (Oct. 12) at the site of the old county landfill in Woodfin. The facility will include a defensive diving course, fire training tower, burn buildings, rescue evolutions and educational classroom space. It is scheduled to open in 2012.
