Padiham Football Club A big thank you to every one who supported Padiham Football Club in 2010 and intend to do so again in 2011 and for those of you who haven`t visited the Arbories Memorial Sports Ground to watch any of the clubs fixtures lately, why not make it a New Years resolution to at least visit us once in the next few weeks and catch up on all the goings on at the club. One hundred years ago Padiham had just re-joined the Lancashire Combination Football League and more of interest become a limited liability company with a capital of two hundred and fifty pounds, allotted in five hundred ten shilling (50 pence) shares. Try as the club might we have never been able to obtain one of the original shares issued or for that matter a copy of the prospectus issued at the time of the formation of the company. If any reader of the Herald can help the club track down any of the shares I would be very grateful as it would make a valuable addition to Padiham Football Clubs history file. Padiham FCs Home Fixtures for January include league leaders New Mills on Saturday 8th of January, Formby on Saturday 22nd of January and Rossendale United on Saturday 29th of January.
