LONDON CALLING





London Calling, the month long poker festival presented by PKR, drew to a close in


the middle of November after hosting 57 tournaments at the Fox Club in London. The festival bought over 2,350 players through the door for a range of tournaments including PLO, Hold’em and HORSE with buy-ins ranging from £20-£100. Simon Wing took home £15,171 after winning the £300 NLH main event.


PKR players brought their skills from the virtual to the live felt, winning 25 per cent of the events, and bringing home the cash and the little red bus trophies.


2010 CBMPT CHAMPION CROWNED


Mark English shows off his winning hand


Mark English became the 2010 Coral. co.uk British Masters Poker Tour champion after winning the end-of- season play off and a £10,000 sponsorship deal from the bookmaker for 2011. The Londoner, who was the last of the eight finalists to qualify by winning the online final, was ranked an outsider at 14-1 by sponsors Coral who ran a book throughout the event. The runner-up, Lam Trinh, picked up a £5,000 sponsorship deal for his efforts.

Ende Oktober fand im Pariser Aviation Club de France das elftägige Festival ACF Hold’em Series statt. Beim Main Event, einem e3.000 NLH, gingen 145 Spieler ins Rennen um die e405.039 im Preispool. Die Siegprämie in Höhe von e129.610 strich Paul Pires-Trigo ein. Zweiter wurde Stephane Benadiba, der sich


über e68.855 freuen durfte. Der Ire Clement Thumy erreichte den mit e48.605 dotierten dritten Platz. Das e1.000 NLH für e42.755 ging an
