About your blog......why do you write....what you write.....

I started my blog to help me collect and develop my thoughts and notes on the subject of legal-project manage- ment. Tere is very little information on project management that is targeted to lawyers, paralegals, and litiga- tion support professionals. Te legal industry is conspicuous in its absence from most research, writing, and discussion related to project management. My hope is that the opinions, tips, and links shared on my blog will help generate much-needed discussion on the role of project management in law firms, corporate legal depart- ments, and the vendors who service them.

About your company.....

Global Colleague is a small international consulting company that helps corporate legal departments with man- agement consulting (policies and procedures), systems integration (e-discovery and contract-management tools) and outsourcing (e-discovery tool management, document reviews, and contracts management). At Global Col- league our mission is to help our clients improve their performance in compliance, transaction, and dispute management, through the use of best practices, technology, process improvement, and a global workforce.

What do you see yourself doing in five years? Continuing to expand Global Colleague's operations, service offerings, and geographical coverage. Its exciting

to be part of the globalization of legal-support services. I'm just getting started.

Guilty pleasure..... Dividing my time between Taiwan and India is great for a foodie like me. I get to enjoy two of the world's great cuisines. I still need my cup of black coffee in the morning, however, and keep a stash of grounds on hand.

What do you do on your time off? Play with my kids. I’ve become quite the Lego and Lincoln log architect.

I vacation when.....

I travel so much for work and my kids are not at an age where they make the best travel companions. When I have time off, we usually stay on the island.

Legal icon....... Martin Garbus. I worked out of space sublet from his firm, just down the hall from him, years ago and was for- tunate to have the opportunity to meet and have discussions with him. Freedom of speech is precious, fragile, and necessary to our other freedoms. A free society needs people like Mr. Garbus who will defend unpopular and even offensive voices.
