A Word From The Head

Argyle is a school where children and families feel they belong, where they feel welcomed and listened to and where we put our values into action. We have a dynamic and creative approach to teaching and learning across our school community which challenges and enables children to be the best they can be across a wide and varied curriculum.

We expect children to “have a go” at everything they are offered; helping them to understand that mistakes matter as part of the learning process. Our children strive for academic success but also learn to be active, responsible citizens in a rapidly changing and challenging world.

Our staff believe that learning never stops for children and families or themselves and we nurture, value and develop adults so that they become even better able to support, teach and safeguard children in their care.

Argyle children are enthusiastic, friendly people who tell us through the school council that they enjoy the visits to gardens, galleries, museums, parks, farms, wildlife centres, theatres, castles, Derbyshire and Paris which makes their learning real and relevant. They tell us that they feel safe and listened to and that when there are problems there are people to guide and support.

I hope this prospectus gives you a flavour of our school and I would encourage you to find out more from our school website on www.argyle.camden.sch. uk.

Introduction From The Chair

Argyle School is a thriving school in central London, surrounded by world class learning institutions and opportunities, which act daily as our extended classrooms.

Our children are aged from 3 to 11 and are drawn from the neighbourhood very close to the school; they represent in microcosm the diversity of our local community.

We work in close partnership with parents and carers to encourage them to be involved in their children’s education. We value our parents and carers and they are always welcome in school.

We are very proud of our school and we are more than happy to answer any questions that you may have.
