A spectacular field of 2,000 Ameri-

can flags honoring those who have served or are serving in the armed forces of our country, law enforcement, fire and other first responders, and your heroes will be on display Nov. 7-13 at Town Square Park in Downtown Murrieta. During the week the second annual

“Field of Honor” (FOH) is flying, there will be several special events including the City’s Veterans Day Parade (Nov. 11) saluting veterans, and ceremonies honor- ing first responders and other activities. The event is a partnership of the Rotary Club of Murrieta and the City of Mur- rieta.

“You can honor a veteran or one of

your loved ones or heroes by flying a flag in the “Field of Honor,” said Frank Do- nahoe, co-chair of the FOH committee. Individuals can purchase a 3’x5’ Ameri- can flag on an 8’ pole to fly in the “Field

of Honor” for $35. Honorees will include former and current members of the mili- tary, first responders and other heroes, including family, friends and those held special. On Sunday (Nov. 14) the field will be retired and purchasers can pick up their flag(s) from 10 am to 3 pm. Go to www.murrietarotary.org or contact Do- nahoe (951-704-3622) for more details. Net proceeds from the “Field of Honor” will benefit the “Murrieta Through Time” (history walk) project and City’s Veterans Memorial. The 2010 “Field of Honor” (FOH)
