Fire Department cut the tree into sections and moved it off the road. Traffic in the area was moving again before lunch. No one was injured in the incident.
This is at least the second time in the past several years rotten trees have fallen from this area onto Merrimon Avenue. A 2008 incident caused a single-car accident.
