Congratulations to our 2010 Scholarship Recipients
Abbie Little Abbie Little is a
recent graduate of War- ren High School and the granddaughter of Catherine Lee Richard- son, Bradley County Circuit Clerk. Abbie is attending the Uni- versity of Arkansas in Fayetteville, pursuing a degree in Chemical Engineering.
Adam Simino
Adam Simino is a 2010 graduate of Valley View High School in Jonesboro and is the son of Scotty Simino, Craighead County Road Department. Adam is attending Arkansas State Uni- versity as he pursues a degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Regan Renfro
Regan Renfro is a 2010 graduate of Gurdon High School and the granddaugh- ter of Margie Wells, Clark County Sheriff’s Department. Regan is attending Henderson State University in Arkadelphia in order to obtain her degree
in Graphic Design. She was awarded the Matt Morris Scholarship.
Ward Reynolds
Ward Reynolds is a graduate of Star City High school and a sophomore at South- ern Arkansas Tech in Camden where he is pursuing a degree in Aviation Maintenance. Ward is the grandson of Shirley Reynolds, Lincoln County Deputy Clerk.
James Klober
James Klober is a 2010 graduate of Dan- ville High School and is the grandson of Travis Garner, Yell County Justice of the Peace. James is attending Ar- kansas Tech University in Russellville while pursuing his degree in Ag Business.
Candace Baker is a 2010 graduate of
Hall High School and the daughter of Ger- aldine Baker, Pulaski County Deputy Clerk. Candace is enrolled at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway as she works towards a degree in Pharmaceuticals.
Mary Lauren Robbins is a sophomore at
Arkansas State University in Jonesboro where she is pursuing a degree in Communication
David Blackburn
David Blackburn graduated in May from Piggott High School. He is the son of Roberta Nagy, Clay County Sheriff’s Department. David attends Arkansas State University in Jonesboro where he is pursuing a degree in Biology.
Joanna Curtis Joanna Curtis is a 2010 graduate of Benton
High School and the daughter of Doug Curtis, Saline County Justice of the Peace. Joanna is attending Ouachita Baptist Uni- versity in Arkadelphia where she is working towards a degree in Education.
These AAC scholarships are for $1,000 each. Scholarships sponsored by the Association of Arkansas Counties, along with the affiliate associations, have totaled nearly $130,000 since 1986. These scholarship oppor- tunities are open to all children, step-children and grandchildren of current or retired county employees of Arkansas. Application forms are mailed out to county officials each January; completed applications must be received by May 1.
