IACREOT 2010: ‘Equipping and inspiring leaders’ Delegates from all over the United States,
Albania, Australia, Canada, Nigeria, New Zea- land, Sweden and the United Kingdom gath- ered in Chicago in June for IACREOT’S 39th Annual Conference and Trade Show. Arkansas was well represented with 20 del- egates and 8 guests. While there they took ad- vantage of 18 hours of exceptional educational workshops and seminars and a fantastic trade show.
Te theme for this year’s International As- sociation of Clerks, Recorders, Election Offi- cials and Treasurers event was “Equipping and Inspiring Leaders”. Once the day of seminars was complete, delegates took time to visit the magnificent city of Chicago. Museums, art col- lections, parks and shopping were all within walking distance of the hotel. Of course, Chi- cago’s famous deep dish pizza had to be sampled at Gino’s! IACREOT, as always, provided a forum for
the free exchange of information which in turn will result in improved standards for those serv- ing the public. Tis year’s conference provided opportunities for attendees to learn about the “latest and greatest” in technology for govern- ment officials and meet with colleagues to share information and ideas. Cindy Gilmer, Sebastian County, was elected
