LIBRA
September 24 – October 23 Few things in life perk up the nips with excitement like those subtle little changes you notice around this time of year. For the wicked month of October, I’m honor- ing the spirit of All Hollows’ Eve, Samhain…or whatever naughty nomenclature tickles your fancy pants. I’m no wiccan, but I’ve certainly been known to get down Pagan-style in the chill of the autumn night. So now I impart my advice. Libra, take comfort in the fact that the change in seasons will attune everyone to appreciate your artfully neurotic ways. Not that you’d care either way, you proud weirdo! Add that extra personal touch of yours to everything you do. Brave uniqueness is never a mistake when it comes from the most original place in the world—within you.
SCORPIO October 24 – November 22 We all have roles we have to play in order to make it in
this crazy world, Scorpio. You’re certainly no exception. Tuck away the attitude and bust your butt, as they say. You know I still love you and your starlet complex. I just need to give you some of the tough love once in a while. Be grateful that I don’t sacrifice you to the gods to ensure a plentiful man-harvest.
SAGITTARIUS November 23 – December 22 Just focus and breathe, my saggy Sagittarius. Your
next few steps may be tricky, but you’ve got the finesse to pull it off. Your talent is formidable and your poker face is legendary, but don’t forget that under all that numb- ing sobriety is a firecracker of a human being who should be allowed to celebrate once the work is done! Maybe after a few barrels of ale we can chant and prance in the forest. Ancient forests have karaoke bars, right?
CAPRICORN December 23 – January 20 Few exercise quite as much freedom of expression
as you, Capricorn. Just in case you didn’t already know, it’s inspiring so keep it up! Ignore those small-minded chuckles and really listen to the compliments you’re given. They carry a lot more meaning than just praise for personal style or character. They’re veiled “thank yous” for putting concepts out there that others don’t think they themselves can afford to endorse. Believe me I’ve tried. But ceremonially running naked in the forest still seems to always get me into trouble.
AQUARIUS January 21 – February 19 Why so sullen, sexy water-bearer? It had better not be
part of some image you’re trying to pull off! Leave the timeless art of the tragic beauty to the pros! Stars and public figures of the past at least had a good reason to be so deliciously dour. They were forced to live in the closet!
Find gratitude in your situation. If you think gay actors of the 20th century had it rough, imagine centuries earlier when whips and chains were commonly used outside of dark rooms!
PISCES February 20 – March 20 Many believe it to be an ideal situation to leave a party
too early. Others consider it a mortal sin. In reality, it all comes down to how you’d like to be remembered for participating in the night. Compared to being thought of as the last man standing who “just wouldn’t go home,” is it really such a tragedy to disappear at the top of your game? Al least you won’t have to help clean up the residual mess in the morning!
ARIES March 21 – April 20 Okay, Mrs. Crawford, put down the ax! …AND the wire hangers, please! You’ve been noticeably high strung lately, and believe me it’s all for nothing. You’re still young, you’ve got time to plan your future and there’s absolutely no need for all the vein-popping! Take some time away from venomous environments and reevalu- ate your goals. Maybe a serene oceanfront getaway would soothe you. Just make sure you have drinking wa- ter waiting for you after the climb up from Black’s Beach!
TAURUS April 21 – May 21 If you’ve got it, don’t just flaunt it! Take it for a spin on the dance floor and make a living out of it! What you’ve got this month can be pure gold for your perception of self-worth. You don’t normally feel this much in control, so use it for your benefit! Just take it easy on the chants and spells, Mother Goddess. You’ll sprain yourself.
GEMINI May 22 – June 21 Don’t you just hate it when the new-kid gets all the praise over everyone else who has put in more time? Well
don’t get your wig in a tangle because you’re that same kid for the duration of this month! Strap in because the rocket to success is so fast, you’ll fall off into oblivion if your heart’s not in it. Make no mistake. You’ll be the rock star of your coven…just be prepared for the looks of jealousy and words with daggers attached.
CANCER June 22 – July 23 As a deeply complex and borderline-troubled stew of emotional slaver, you’re allowed more moody bitch-fits than the average Joan. But don’t think that people don’t notice your patterns. A princess complex and a matching face won’t pardon your latest set of offenses. There will always be a priestess higher than you who’s ready to put you in your place, so zip up the sass!
LEO July 24 – August 23 Oh you Leos have it so easy! You make a joke and it’s echoed and emulated throughout history. You get caught being bad and you’re cheered on. It seems that anything you do is eaten right up by the masses. So your true mission in life (at least for this month) is to find a way to use your natural magnetism to help your fellow man while staying true to your personal principles. And no, reaching your sinful hand into the hooded robe of your fellow man doesn’t count!
VIRGO August 24 – September 23 No time like the present…That expression is thrown
around so freely until it portends to stepping out of one’s comfort zone. Then it’s just reckless, right? Well you’re not going to succeed much if you’re not willing to stretch yourself beyond what you think are your limits. Speak- ing of stretching, I’m late for my Pilates class! See you at Nightmare on Normal St!
