Rocky Owenby for Sheriff – Accessible, Accountable, Honest, Your Sheriff –
“I am committed to ensuring that personal contact is made with victims. Through honesty and integrity I would like to bring community trust back to the Sheriff’s Offi ce.”
In 1988, Rocky started his law enforcement career as a detention officer with the Buncombe County Detention Center. Over the next nineteen years, Rocky continued to serve the county and develop his law enforcement expertise. He has extensive experience as a patrolman, a field training officer, a detective (child abuse & sex crimes), a patrol sergeant, a patrol lieutenant, and a patrol captain. In 2007, he left the Sheriff's Department to establish his own home-improvement business, Solutions.
As your sheriff, Rocky plans to make his office available to personally meet with citizens and discuss concerns that you have in your community.
With your help, Rocky will work towards reducing the drug problem on the street, cutting down on drug-motivated crimes and getting to the dealers. Safety for our County needs to begin in the neighborhoods and communities where we live, work, and send our children to school.
