Fleegal, age 85 of Weaverville died Monday, April 12, 2010. Mrs. Fleegal was born July 25,


1924, in Yancey County and was a resident of Buncombe County for most of her life. Eileen was a for- mer nurse and a member of Long’s Chapel Baptist Church. She was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Dorcas Rochester Hunter and wife of the late Harold Harding Fleegal who died in 1994. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Ada Russell and Madge Ward. She is survived by her son, Bill

Burnette, 86 of 3 Little Joe Dr., passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010 at her residence. She was a native and lifelong resident of Bun- combe County and a daughter of the late Ed and Pansy Arrowood Brown. She was also preceded in death by her husband Boyd (Pete) Burnette, a son, Boyd Burnette, brothers; Richard Brown and Otis Brown. Helen had worked several years as a seamstress. derson Jr., 78, of 2687 Paint Fork Road, passed away Thursday, April 22, 2010, at his residence. He was a native and lifelong resi- dent of Madison County and the son of the late Oscar Anderson Sr. and Mae Gillis Anderson. He was also preceded in death by a broth- er, William Kenneth Anderson. He was a right-of-way agent for sec- ondary roads, 13th division and Crew Leader II for Madison Coun- ty road maintenance. Arrington, age 63, of 312 Jupi- ter Road, died Monday, April 26, 2010. Wanda was born Dec. 5, 1946,


in Buncombe County. She dearly loved her family, especially her grandchildren, and loved cooking. She was a lifelong member of Lo- cust Grove Baptist Church where she enjoyed working with the homebound ministry. She had a passion caring for elderly people. Wanda was a daughter of the late Ralph Noah and Mary Elizabeth Justice Buckner. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brother, Ralph Buck- ner, Jr., and her twin, Wilma Sue Buckner. Surviving are her husband of 44


years, Earl Arrington; daughter, Pamela Chandler and husband Warren of Weaverville; sisters, Mary Jo Smith, Carolyn Evans, Linda Reavis; grandchildren, Noah, Hannah and Ayden Chan- dler; nieces, Lisa, Kim, Deanna, and Kristy; nephew, Mark. Her funeral service will be held

Carolina Flame breakfast


Te Carolina Flame, a 13 and under traveling basketball team with


members from the Weaverville area, will hold a pancake breakfast and yard sale from 7 am to 2 pm on Saturday (May 1) at the Bun- combe County Firemans Training Center, 180 Erwin Hills Road in Asheville. Breakfast will be served until 11 am and the yard sale will end at 2 pm. A breakfast of three pancakes, bacon or sausage and a beverage will be $5.
