WNC record for Geyer NBHS

North Buncombe High School senior standout Cody Geyer blasted the 42nd home run of his career, and ninth of the season, in a 19-2 loss against Enka on April 21. The home run gave Geyer the career home run record for Western North Carolina players. He is now two shy of the state record. He is signed with the University of Memphis. A leap to the professional leagues, depending on a favorable draft position, or enrolling at a junior college remain a possibility for next year. North Buncombe is 11-9 this season.
