Turf Industry Event Survey Responses
Industry survey results suggest one show in the Midlands is the way forward. Now it’s up to the ‘decision makers’ to decide
SINCE Pitchcare started over eight years ago, we have been in the fortunate position to work very closely with both the trade and the practioners. During this time there has been much conjecture voiced and written about the future of the industry and, in particular, the trade shows. In recent months, in response to repeated requests, we sent out two questionnaires, one to our members (the Groundsmen and Greenkeepers) and one to the companies that historically and regularly support the turfcare professionals. The purpose of the questionnaires was to gauge views on a single turf industry trade show.
For your information 15% of all companies supplied fully completed surveys and 4% of the full membership also took the time to complete it in full. These results do not include unfinished survey responses.
Here is a snapshot of the results of the two surveys.

Trade: 94.1% in favour Members: 91.2% in favour

Additional questions focused on other elements of a show. These were rated from ‘very important to ‘very unimportant’. There was also a training specific question.
