PITCHCARE is once again inviting members to enter its popular Technical Merit Award, in association with Syngenta. Run over three months, there’s a monthly, fun competition that’s enjoyable, educational and rewarding to enter, with the option of a separate, more testing challenge for the opportunity to become the second recipient of the
award. Don’t worry if you missed the deadline for December’s entries - you can still enter in January and February. Entrants are asked to submit answers to a number of multi-choice technical questions. All questions relate to the sports turf industry, and all entrants submitting a correct answer are included in the monthly draw to win an ‘Experience Day’. The answers to the multiple choice questions are revealed along with the monthly winner on the Pitchcare website. Additionally, each month, entrants have the option to provide a written response to a relevant topical issue. This is likely to require some research on behalf of the entrant. The responses will be considered by a panel of industry experts and the best answers will be published on the site. The overall Technical Merit Award will be judged on an individual’s responses to
the topical monthly issue, the best over the course of three months. The judging emphasis will be on quality, considered responses. The winner will receive a fantastic 5 star 2 night stay in London’s West End. Long running classics such as Phantom of the Opera and The Mousetrap to new shows such as Chicago, Mary Poppins and The Producers; the last few years have seen a renaissance in quality productions in the West End with something to offer everyone. Combine top seats to the performance of your choice with 2 nights bed and breakfast accommodation at a centrally located luxury hotel. The award is open to all. Good luck.
