We agree – but believe women should drive the world economy in a direction that brings us greater rewards and influence.
The evidence of women’s purchasing power is overwhelming:
Spending Power: Women control $4.3 trillion of the $5.9 trillion in U.S. consumer spending, 73% of total household spending and $20 trillion globally.20
Asset Ownership: The 2007 Survey of Consumer Finances from the Federal Reserve Board reveals that women control slightly more than half (51.3 percent) of all
personal wealth in the United States.
