The Rage Monthly: What part of the “OC” do you reside in?
David Leone: I live in Laguna Niguel and work in Garden Grove.
Rage: What made you pursue bartending at Frat House?
DL: I met Ted, the owner about six-months after I got out of the army. I am a veteran. Ted hired me as a carpenter at first and one thing lead to another and I ended up working behind the bar.
Rage: How long have you been working there?
DL: I have been working part time at the Frat House for 25 years, so you see…it is my anniversary too.
Rage: What days of the week can we find you serving up drinks at Frat House?
DL: I am the assistant manager and the daytime bartender Monday through Friday from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Rage: Do you have any “specialty cocktails” that you would like to mention?
DL: Like I tell my customers, “everything I make is special.”

RAGE monthly | JUNE 2010
Rage: What do you enjoy most about working at Frat House?
DL: It’s meeting all the people. Sooner or later, they all have to come to the bartender.
CELEBRATING 25 YEARS
ALONG WITH FRAT HOUSE
Rage: So, are there any special events planned for Frat House in June?
DL: The Frat House will be celebrating our 25th anniversary in June with a week-long celebration starting on Monday, the 21st to Sunday, the 27th. With a fundraiser on Wednesday, the 23rd and the Anniversary Party going on Friday, the 25th.
Rage: When you’re not working and have some downtime, what are some of the things you enjoy doing?
DL: I am a big sports fan. Some people call me a sports nut. I play basketball as often as I can. I also own a horse and a 1979 Harley sportster. Love my Angels and the Lakers.
Rage: What words do you think your friends would use to describe you?
DL: Friendly, cute and crazy. A guy’s got to have fun.
Rage: Finally, for those who haven’t been to Frat House lately, what would you say they have been missing out on?
DL: We are in the middle of a major remodel with a new bar, tile-flooring and new mirrors behind the bar. The place looks great!
