Looking Back with an Eye on the Future
Dear Gray Plant Mooty Clients and Friends,
2009 was challenging, wasn’t it? Throughout the year, we felt privileged to work with you and for you as together we stood firm to our missions against what sometimes felt like the gale force of economic pressure. Challenging times can bring out the best in businesses, law firms, and charitable institutions, however. Here at Gray Plant Mooty, we learned to be more efficient; we learned to focus on what’s most important; and we were reminded of how very much we appreciate our clients, friends, and community.
On the pages that follow, we reflect on 2009—a year of unprecedented community need and business challenge. We include highlights of client projects on which we were privileged to work, pro bono and community service efforts in which we felt honored to participate, and examples of our firm’s participation in the wonderful diversity of our legal and business community.
The light’s a little brighter in 2010. We’ve all had a good look at the economic environment in which we now work, and a chance to set new priorities and reaffirm the importance of some old ones. For us, our continued commitment to our clients and friends and their communities remains unchanged. On behalf of everyone at Gray Plant Mooty, thank you for the privilege of serving you, and our deepest wishes for a bright year.
