Women on Stage, Central Minnesota Community Foundation
Gray Plant Mooty served as a sponsor for the sixth annual Women on Stage event, which is the primary fundraising program for the Central Minnesota Community Foundation Women’s Fund. Each year, half of the proceeds from this event go to the community, while the other half is placed into an endowment to fund grants for a variety of projects, including Habitat for Humanity Women Build, the Memory Care Clinic, and scholarships for non- traditional women students at local colleges and universities.
Clara’s House, CentraCare Health Foundation
Clara’s House is a facility where children and adolescents with mental and chemical dependency issues receive specialized care. As a Patron of Faith supporter, Gray Plant Mooty donated $1,000 to this warm, healing facility that helps young people regain and maintain their health.
Hats for Hope Christmas Tree
The St. Cloud office sponsored and decorated “Hats for Hope” Christmas trees in the plaza of the downtown Regency Building. The trees displayed hats that had been made by Gray Plant Mooty employees in both St. Cloud and Minneapolis. People viewing the displayed trees had the opportunity to make on-site donations.
Women Build Event
Women Build is a week-long event during which women across Central Minnesota pool their talents to build better standards of living for themselves and others. Involvement can be at many levels, from spending a day on a Habitat for Humanity home construction crew to serving on a planning committee. While Habitat- built homes help provide economic security for low-income families, they are not free. Participating families must meet income guidelines, complete home ownership classes, contribute sweat equity, and make affordable monthly mortgage and property tax payments. For this program, Gray Plant Mooty donated $2,500 and 30 work hours.
