American Baptist Homes of the Midwest
American Baptist Homes of the Midwest (ABHM) came to Gray Plant Mooty seeking help and advice related to the expansion and remodeling of its retirement complex in Muskego, Wisconsin. Gray Plant Mooty’s Real Estate and Commercial Financial Services practice groups helped ABHM with $28 million in bond financing for the property. The bonds were secured by mortgages on ABHM properties located in six different states. Gray Plant Mooty assisted in the negotiation and preparation of construction, financing, and disclosure documents. The firm also provided a legal opinion necessary to issue the bonds on a tax-exempt basis.
