The “Select Files” window is closed; the “Part Upload” tab is updated and the selected fi le(s) are added to
the “Files selected for upload” list.

NOTE: When working on a Macintosh, the Part Upload tab is not automatically updated. You can click REFRESH on the
action bar to update the fi les list.
The “Files selected for upload” list is saved on the computer that was used to select the fi les; it can be
viewed in :Portal until you start the fi le upload. This allows you to browse other tabs (for example, to verify
a page range on the Page Approval tab) and back to the “Upload” tab without losing the list. You can
also continue selecting and uploading fi les in a next session providing you access :Portal from the same
computer. The list is personal therefore you can only access your own list.
If you want to select more fi les to upload, you can click the “Browse” button again and repeat the procedure
described above.

Specifying pages
When the fi les to upload are selected, you have to specify which pages are contained in the selected fi les
before you start uploading. You have to specify the page range and the start page for every selected fi le on
the Part Upload tab.
1. Specify the page number or page range in the “Part Page Range” fi eld. To indicate a single page, enter
the number of the page in the Part that corresponds with the page in the fi le. For example, page range
9 means that the fi le contains page 9 in the Part. Remaining pages in the fi le will be ignored. To indicate
a range of pages, enter the number of the fi rst and the last page (not to confuse with the total number of
pages) in the Part, separated by a dash (-). A page range can only contain consecutive pages.
