Uploading files
:Portal includes a powerful upload system that allows you to transfer fi les to the :Portal server.
This upload system uses a Java applet (an application written in Java that can run inside a web page) to
select the fi les and one to upload them. The Java Runtime Environment is required to run the applets.
The following procedure describes how you can upload your fi les using the Java applets.
The Upload tab of the Part has to be displayed to upload the fi les.
Displaying the upload tab
You can access the Part Upload tab from the My Products Overview tab, which is automatically displayed
after you have logged on to :Portal. If a different tab is displayed, proceed as follows to open the My
Products Overview tab:
1. Click the Products menu on the menu bar
The My Product Overview tab appears. The tab contains a list of Products for your company and the
Parts in these Products assigned to you.

2. Click the Upload link of the appropriate Product and Part to display the Upload window.
